Event description
In February 2024, the Global Call to Action for Heritage Language Education was launched, which is an easy-to-use list of recommendations for everyone – from students to mainstream schools to policy-makers – to help improve heritage language and culture education for multilingual children worldwide. Three months in: we want to hear your experiences and ideas so far that have been inspired by the Global Call.
On Thursday, May 30, at 19:00 (GMT, London) / 20:00 (Central European Time) there will be a free, online meetup ("FOHLC Café") for professionals in heritage language education: Anyone interested in discussing this topic and networking with others in the field of heritage language education is welcome to attend!
Remember, the event lasts one hour and starts at:
19:00 GMT/London time
20:00 Central European Time
Program
This time, we plan on discussing: did you share the Global Call within your network and what was the response? Have you organized any events using the Global Call as an instrument to guide policy change? Do you have ideas you want to share and discuss? This is the place! Jana Nahodilova will guide the discussion.
