This year, the Russian Language Center “Buratino” celebrates its 25th anniversary- a milestone that marks a quarter-century of inspiring multilingual education, cultural enrichment, and strong community ties in the Brainport Eindhoven region.
Founded in 2000, Buratino began as a small initiative with a big dream: to support children growing up between languages and cultures. Today, the school has grown into a vibrant educational hub with 23 groups of children at various levels of Russian proficiency, adult classes in Russian and Dutch, and a wide range of creative and intellectual clubs from dance, art, and choir to programming, chess, football, and the beloved “What? Where? When?” quiz club.
Our school is more than a place of learning — it's a place of belonging. Each Sunday, families gather not only for lessons but for connection, community, and the joy of keeping language and culture alive. With a children’s library, holiday celebrations, theater performances, and certified pathways for Russian language exams within the Dutch education system, Buratino continues to offer a unique and nurturing environment for bilingual children and their families.
As we celebrate 25 years of dedication, passion, and partnership, we thank all our students, parents, teachers, and supporters who have made this journey possible. Here's to the next 25 years of curiosity, creativity, and connection!
