How can you strengthen your heritage language program, inspire your students, or better support teachers, volunteers, and families? Luckily, there are many useful resources and initiatives that help answer these questions!
The Level-Up Lounge at the 8th Annual HLE Network Night showcased a range of resources and ideas in one place. In this way, we made it easy for heritage language programs to discover organizations and projects that can offer them practical support.
The opportunities covered four areas:
Tools & skills for teachers
Projects that stimulate students
Advanced administration guidance for managers
Services & information for families
Participants received three stickers to mark the opportunities they were most interested in exploring further, and about these opportunities they received additional information. We found that among the most selected were: resources from Nuffic and VrijwilligerswerkNL, information about recognizing and reporting discrimination, and opportunities to learn about project-based language learning.
